More self-promotion! In 1986 I published the "Wichita" poster after recognizing the need for a piece of artwork which would become a local center-piece for residential and corporate settings. Overwhelming public and business support for the "Wichita" poster prompted me to create a companion piece named the "Kansas" poster, which was so well received that in 1990 the poster was offered in three smaller sizes to accommodate increased demand. Both prints still being popular today. Click on images to enlarge.
In 1988 The Mercury 7 Foundation and the Apollo-Soyuz Committees commissioned me to do two paintings that were to be published as signed limited edition posters to commemorate these historic events. Together with technical assistance from the mission astronauts, two stunningly beautiful fine art prints resulted. The American and Russian astronauts were unanimous in their admiration of the finished art and all felt it was genuinely symbolic of their historic missions. Both of these limited print editions were signed by each of the respective mission astronauts and have become space art collectibles. Click on images to enlarge.
